2. Necessary drivers

For correct work with the phone install "SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones" driver.

3. Write Firmware

  1. Put phone into Download Mode.
  2. Connect the phone to PC via cable.
  3. Install required driver.
  4. Select firmware file.
  5. Click "Write firmware" button.
  6. Follow software instructions (prompts).
Note: Please, before firmware write, disconnect all other devices from the computer (including phones, modems, etc.) and close all other running programs. To avoid errors in the flashing process, use a clean PC (without any installed drivers for other Android-based devices). Dont run any other programs or attach new devices to your computer during the flashing procedure! Don't turn off phone and don't disconnect cable during firmware write. Please, follow these simple instructions to avoid phone damage.

  1. Root your phone manually.
  2. Connect powered-on phone to PC via cable.
  3. Install necessary driver.
  4. Click "Unlock" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts).

  3. Enter correct IMEI.

  2. Install necessary driver.
  3. Click "Reset Screen Lock" button.
  4. Follow software instructions (prompts).
Note: After the operation will be successfully completed, You need to draw any pattern, if Pattern Lock was set, or enter any password, if Password Lock was set.

8. Root

  1. Connect the phone to PC via cable.
  2. Copy the file "Root_GT-P7300.zip" to the root folder of your memory card.
  3. Copy the file "Superuser-3.2-GT-P7300.zip" to the root folder of your memory card.
  4. Shutdown your device.
  5. Put your device into Recovery mode.
  6. Select "apply update from sdcard" and choose "Root_GT-P7300.zip".
  7. Select "apply update from sdcard" and choose "Root_GT-P7300.zip".
  8. Select "reboot system now".
  9. After reboot phone will be rooted.

  1. Put phone into Download Mode
  2. Connect the phone to PC via cable.
  3. Install required driver.
  4. Click "Repair EFS" button.

10. Download Mode

To enter Download Mode, perform next steps:
  1. Press and hold "Volume DOWN" + "Power ON" buttons.
  2. Press "Volume UP" button to go Download Mode.
  3. Press "Volume UP" button to confirm.

To enter Recovery Mode, perform next steps:
  1. Press and hold "Volume DOWN" + "Power ON" buttons.
  2. Press "Volume DOWN" button to select Recovery icon.

Q: My phone not found by program. How can I configure my phone?

A: Provide following steps:
  1. Disconnect USB cable from phone (if connected).
  2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development.
  3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
  4. When message is appear press "Yes".
  5. Press "Read Info" in Octopus Samsung software.
